Skylar R. Croy is a litigation attorney who previously served as Associate Counsel at a public interest law firm, where his practice focused on claims related to free speech, the right to keep and bear arms, and equal protection. Before that, he spent four years clerking at the Wisconsin Supreme Court, first for Chief Justice Patience Drake Roggensack and then for Justice Rebecca Grassl Bradley. He is also a former Captain in the Army National Guard.
Skylar is an active legal scholar. In Spring 2025, he served as an adjunct professor of constitutional law at the University of Wisconsin Law School. He has published articles in several scholarly journals, including the Wisconsin Law Review and the Marquette Law Review. He has also written op-eds for the National Review and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and presented at the Cato Institute and the Pacific Legal Foundation.
Skylar earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2019, graduating second in his class and earning Order of the Coif honors. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Law Review. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, summa cum laude, from Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont. Skylar is currently a Master of Liberal Arts candidate at Harvard Extension School, studying government.
