Catherine E. White is an associate at Hurley Burish, S.C., focusing on criminal defense, civil litigation, and appeals.

Catherine received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she graduated first in her class. During law school, Catherine served as a student attorney at the Wisconsin Innocence Project, where she helped draft a brief that resulted in the exoneration of an innocent man after 17 years in prison. She also served as senior managing editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. She received a Foreign Language Area Studies Fellowship in Arabic and the Salmon Dalberg Award, given to the outstanding member of the graduating class.

Before joining Hurley Burish, Catherine served as a law clerk for the Honorable James D. Peterson of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin and the Honorable Jane Kelly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
