Abigail Carey received her J.D. from Duquesne Law School in Pittsburgh, PA. During law school, she worked for the Pittsburgh District Attorney’s Office before transitioning to defense as a student attorney with the Youth Advocacy Clinic. There, she represented teenage clients in both delinquency and educational matters. She also competed in the trial advocacy program, leading her team to compete nationally against other top-ranked law school teams and receiving multiple awards for her advocacy.
After returning to Wisconsin, Abigail took some time off to stay home with her family. Before joining Hurley Burish, she worked as a solo practitioner, where she caught the firm’s attention with her command of the law and willingness to tirelessly fight for her clients and grow as an advocate. She currently works in criminal and civil litigation and thrives in diving into the legal details of her cases. When not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking intricate treats, and hiking in Wisconsin state parks. Abigail earned her B.S. from University of Wisconsin-Madison in Psychology with a Criminal Justice minor.
