Attorney David E. Saperstein’s client was initially charged with Attempted Homicide in Richland County when three witnesses alleged that Saperstein’s client tried to stab one of them with a knife on the sidewalk between the client’s house and a next door tavern. The charge was amended to Felony 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment (with a weapon), as a result of pretrial litigation. At trial, Attorney Saperstein exploited the differences in the three witnesses statements as to how the alleged attempted stabbing occurred, and the jury ultimately acquitted the client of all charges.
