Christopher B. Logel is an associate attorney at Hurley Burish, S.C., whose practice spans criminal defense, civil litigation, and appellate and post-conviction work in state and federal court.

Before joining Hurley Burish, Christopher was an associate attorney at a firm specializing in criminal appeals and civil rights litigation. He previously spent a year clerking at the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, and interned at the court while in law school. He built his defense foundation through the Federal Defenders Service and the Federal Appeals Project, a clinical program at Wisconsin Law School. He returns to full-time practice after several years at home raising his daughter.

Christopher came to the law after six years as a software engineer, where his work centered on machine learning, artificial intelligence, cryptography, and software development. He brings the same rigor to complex legal problems, taking them apart until the structure shows.

Christopher earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as Senior Note & Comment Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. His scholarship on police use of force and the constitutionality of solitary confinement has been published in the Berkeley Journal of African-American Law & Policy and the Idaho Law Review. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Carleton College. Outside the practice of law, he writes fiction, composes orchestral music, and fishes.
